Turmeric Lemonade: the best remedy for stress and anxiety

Turmeric is the most powerful antioxidant found by now. It helps and protects the liver in fighting toxins and has amazing effects on cell cancer. Moreover, it helps to purify the blood, to eliminate toxins, which will result in a perfect skin, lowers cholesterol levels, and heals stomach pain, bloating and gallbladder problems. There are studies that confirm that they have positive effects on people who are predisposed to Alzheimer and who treat skin cancer. Further, turmeric may benefit brain chemicals, and it can enhance the production of glutathione, an essential antioxidant for brain health.

Lemon has the ability to alkalize our body and also, contributes to liver health. The best way to start your day is, yes – a glass of warm water with lemon – that will help digestive system and liver detoxification process. Lemons stimulate intestinal movements, purify blood and protect the immune system due to its high vitamin C content. Also, due to the alkalinity properties, lemons can also fight inflammation.

In a recent study, it has been shown that the active ingredient in turmeric – curcumin – equates the effects of fluoxetine (a substance found in many antidepressants such as Prozac): “It is a new and surprising use of this natural medicine. People with depression show inflammation at a high level in the brain. Also, depressed people have a low level of neurogenesis in the brain, which means they produce fewer brain cells. Curcumin is both an anti-inflammatory agent and a powerful stimulant of neurogenesis.” – Dr. Ajay Goel (Baylor Research Institute and Charles A Sammons Cancer Center).
